Tool Box After School Clubs

After School Drama Clubs

Tool Box Drama Clubs offer after school activities for primary school children in and around York. The clubs are designed to provide children with an opportunity to get creative in a colourful and sociable environment. We focus on play, storytelling and using our voices – all our sessions are delivered under a termly theme which is often picked by the group or compliments their current class topic. Sessions take place straight after school for 1 hour, and are structured in a way that encourages creative exploration.

Sessions are delivered by Ellie Tillotson – an experienced and passionate practitioner with over 6 years experience in running workshops and drama classes. Ellie also obtains an enhanced and up to date DBS check, insurance, first aid training and relevant industry training.

My daughters absolutely love going to Tool Box Drama classes. Every week I ask how the class was and they always reply in unison “Amazing, as usual!” I have seen their confidence, not just in performing, but in day to day life too, grow and grow and I know that Toolbox drama class has played a real part in that. Thank you Ellie!

Caroline M – Parent at Dringhouses Primary School

Miss Ellie Tillotson has being running a drama club at Thirsk Community Primary School for this past year. The club has being held on a Thursday evening from 3.20-4.20 for Reception to Year 2 children. The take up of the club surpassed anyone expectations and at least 15 children have attended each week to work on different activities enhancing their communication, language and self confidence. The drama classes have gone that well that we are looking into providing a second class on a Friday evening for our Key stage 2 pupils.
